Idea Nest Honored with Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 Recognition
Every year, the Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 honors the fastest growing startups in the region. The year 2021 marked Idea Nest's first time eligible for ranking, as well as our first appearance on the list, based on a three-year period.
We were ranked 15 on the list of Tampa Bay’s fastest growing companies and we have never been more proud!
Our impact
The 2021 Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 list featured companies from various sectors such as technology, construction, and finance. Being a print-on-demand ecommerce business founded in 2017, our inclusion in this list means that we have significantly grown our revenue despite the hurdles that many companies faced during the pandemic. It also means that we have contributed a great deal to the region’s economic development.
Over the course of three years, companies on the 2021 list had increased their revenue by 76.6 percent, or $951 million. They also employed 7,561 employees, 4,308 of whom were based in the Tampa Bay area. Idea Nest’s contribution to this cannot go unnoticed because even though we experienced some startup challenges such as varied cash flows, we were still able to hire more people and invest in some marketing activities.
How we got here
Idea Nest is one of the resilient Tampa Startups that impressively survived the pandemic. When asked how COVID 19 changed the business, Idea Nest’s founder, Mike Pasley said,
“As an e-commerce company we were well positioned to capture shifting consumer behavior and capitalize on impulse purchases while people were spending more time online during the pandemic.”
Mike also attributed Idea Nest’s rapid growth to our unique business model. He further detailed how it works and its ability to meet customer demands.
“Our print-on-demand business model eliminates any risk associated with pre-purchasing product inventory. This also allows us to rapidly scale our sales volume and meet unpredictable demand cycles…”
