Idea Nest Founder Mike Pasley Featured by Printify for Industry Success In First Year of Business

Print-on-demand in e-commerce is a venture expected to attract so many enthusiasts in the years to come. But how fast can you establish a business in this industry and develop it only on its revenue?

The successful startup Idea Nest founder Mike Pasley was featured by print-on-demand pioneer Printify where he shared his secret sauce of success that led him to make $700k in his first year in the business. Continue reading to learn more about Mike Pasley's three pillars of success.

3 Pillars That Led Idea Nest to Success in Its First Year in Business

Mike Pasley worked extremely hard to achieve his goals. There is no reward for those who wait, and he was not one of them.

As he shared in his feature on Printify, There were three things Mike lived by in order to bring Famous in Real Life to life.

1. Ideate. Always

In a venture like print-on-demand where the creative side must appeal to people, it is essential to keep an eye on what the masses want.

A successful e-commerce business gains its success based on the appeal it receives, which then turns into sales and revenue.

You never know when inspiration will strike and your creation will become viral. Always ideate and find what the crowd wants. Let the people's desires guide you.

Mike was big on appealing to the crowds. In the Printify feature, he was quoted: "For anyone in the t-shirt business, it is as important not to become limited by your passions as understanding what's considered cool and what has crowd appeal."

2. Upskill – or Outsource

Graphic design knowledge is required for print-on-demand t-shirt productions.

To sell your creations through e-commerce, you must understand social media marketing. If you are already trained in these areas, that's great! At the very least, you'll have the essentials to get started.

If you don't have any graphic design, social media marketing, or e-commerce training, you can hire professionals who can do it all. Outsourcing your work is always an option.

On the importance of upskilling, Pasley said, "I haven't found eCommerce by chance, but rather built up the skills over a long period. Starting something that I already had the skills for was very important."

3. Think Long-Term!

"Having a long-term mindset and seriously thinking about your brand is very important," Mike said.

If you work this hard, what you put your effort into must be for the long haul. Think long-term, and don't be in it for the day.
